a NOTE from the DIRECTOR
Hey guys! Bryan Burton here.
While our fun short film certainly aims to first and foremost entertain, itβs a pop/contemporary musical whoβs core purpose is to push the envelope of conversation around the growing issue of online toxicity (or cyberbullying) in society right now via the more-accessible, entertaining power of music and the moving image.
*** While watching the film, my co-creators and I want the audience to have A LOT of fun (after all, it is a fast-paced, fanboy-cultured MUSICAL)β¦ but at the very same time, we wanted our narrative to subtly shine a small (but important) light on this growing issue of βtoxicityβ at hand. It compromises our ability to connect and add value to each other, and intensifies the βothernessβ of others β an even bigger issue thatβs already in worryingly-high supply in our world today. ***
PUSH THE POINT is a subtle βcall to actionβ to (pretty please) be more cognizant of the tonality you put out into the world as you interact with others β online or otherwise β while (on the filmβs surface), serving up this message in a much more musically entertaining, fast-paced, fun-sized way.
Hope you guys enjoy!!
